Frosted vines is made from grapes which are left on the vine until well after the first frost. The growing season ends when frost causes the leaves to fall from the vines yet the flavours in the grapes continue to intensify. As the berries desiccate the sugars, acids and flavours become more concentrated. Pale straw in color with aromas of apricot syrup and lemon drops leads to a rich palate of hazelnut, poached pear, honey, and sultana raisins.
